Alas! Beleaguered Nigerian singer, Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel better known as Dammy Krane is now a free man after he was acquitted of credit card fraud by a United States Court sitting in Miami.
The much maligned musician who appeared on, August 17, in the court room of the Justice Building, Room 4-3, with his defense attorney Courtney Erik in the case presided over by Migiel De La O, the judge, became a free man after the court struck out charges of credit card forgery, armed conspiracy and grand theft charges levelled against him.
Moments after he was set free by
the court, Dammykrane went philosophical when he penned his first thoughts after the credit card fraud saga.
“Sometimes life put you through trial tribulations, not to bring you down but to make you stronger. It also shows you who truly is with you, and who really cares,” he tweeted.

“First I will like to thank God, my family, friends and supporter. Case closed! I am a free man. Let’s get back to the music. One love… Back in the studio! New music on the way.”
Recall that Dammykrane and his alleged accomplice were arrested by security operatives in the US in May, after he allegedly used stolen credit card details to book a jet for a trip to Miami from a private jet leasing company known as Tap Jets.
Were he to have been found guilty of the charges put before him, the singer could have been faced with penalties that may include prison, probation, fines, restitution, as well as a permanent criminal record.
